To answer some of your questions as quickly as possible, we’ve compiled a list of those most frequently asked by THCTT parents. Be sure to read more throughout this website so that you’re well-informed and prepared to support your student through this educational journey.

What does a typical class at THCTT look like?

Each of our classes serves a maximum of twenty (20) students per session in both lecture and lab settings.

What is the schedule for classes at THCTT?
Beginning with the 2018-2019 school year, all classes at THCTT will be three-blocks long and meet every other day (either A or B days), according to the following schedule: 

  • A Day: 10:10am–3:20pm
  • B Day: 10:10am–3:20pm

Students will have lunch at THCTT on the day of their class.

What kind of credits do students at THCTT earn?
Beginning with the 2018-2019 school year, all students will receive three (3) credits for each class they successfully complete in any given school year. If students complete our full program (two years of a course), they will fulfill the sequential elective graduation requirement for their high school.

What credentials do students at THCTT earn?
Each class at THCTT provides students with the opportunity to earn industry credentials, which can help lead to jobs in the future. For additional information, please review the material supplied on the student’s program-of-choice page under the Programs tab.

Are there any fees/costs involved in taking courses at THCTT?
There is currently a $26.00 per year student fee for all courses taken at THCTT. This fee is subject to change, so please double check current requirements with your high school counselor when you apply. 

How do students get back and forth between THCTT and their home school?
Our partnership with area high schools includes bus travel between THCTT and each home high school for all our classes.

How does a student apply to take classes at THCTT?
Our online application system is available from November 15 to February 15. Students must be rising juniors or seniors to apply for THCTT classes. For additional information, please see the Application page on this site.
